Moving Frame 03:49
It's like Painting a picture on a moving frame And it doesn't sit quite right Watch my brush misbehave It's like Wrapping your fingers around the Reaper's grave But I had no need for his scythe My needle sews the hay Breach out Find yourself in another wave To make life as simple as it seems Confusing what is real Confusing what is true

about

Awake and asleep, dead and alive. Trying to capture this state is like painting a picture on a moving frame. You’ll probably know what I’m talking about, just before you enter a deep sleep, and your mind throws constant curve-balls at you. Non-linear thinking, strange and exciting sounds and visions. This state is known as ‘hypnagogia‘ and it is the purgatory between the world outside our head and the one within. Thomas Edison was obsessed by this concept, leaving a spoon in one hand as he drifted to sleep. As soon as he left the hypnagogic state and slept, he would drop the spoon, wake up with a jolt, and have all the other worldly thoughts fresh in his head for jotting down.

Our first ep shares this concept, as we try to capture this within our songs.

We are at once a seed brimming with life and long dead after the final curtain.
